A Pilgrimage of Peace

July 15 – August 25 in Louisa, Virginia

In the midst of violence and war, the Community of Peace invites you to come to Louisa, Virginia in the United States, for an extended time of prayer, planning, and preparation for peacemaking in the world.

Modeled after the Community of Taizé in France, we will pray, sing, and be in silence each day: morning, midday, and evening. We will enter into dialogue with people from around the world. We will work together, share meals, and make friends for a lifetime.

Community of Peace is a new ecumenical monastic community inspired by the Taizé Community. We are located on 280 beautiful acres of forest and meadow in Louisa, VA not far from Washington, D.C.
