Mindfulness Saturdays
Respond instead of react. Experience a more peaceful, happy, and connected life
Saturday Mindfulness Group
Every Saturday | 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM | Sophia House
Awareness is a faculty of the mind that many of us have never fully developed. It begins simply: “I see I am thinking this thought; I see I am feeling this feeling.” Join Tim and Barb for our weekly Saturday Minimalism Group. Together, we explore how to deliberately use awareness to see our thoughts and feelings, choosing to respond to life rather than reacting based on old emotional programs. This practice is far more than a mental idea—it is an ongoing way of experiencing life that leads to deep inner peace, constant joy, and a compassionate sense of connectedness with all life.

What to Expect
The Lesson: Tim and Barb share a practice focused on being more present in daily life.
The Meditation: A short, guided meditation to ground ourselves in awareness.
The Sharing: A private space to talk about awareness and get answers to your questions.
The Task: Every session ends with a small "Mindfulness Task" to focus on during the upcoming week.
Universal & Accessible
No Prerequisites: Mindfulness is pre-religion and pre-spiritual. It does not require any religious, spiritual, social, or political beliefs.
Healing Support: This practice is a great aid in healing personal issues and trauma by helping us organize the unconscious "clutter" that hurts our lives today.
Ancient Wisdom: These practices are rooted in the teachings of Lao-Tzu, Buddha, and Jesus—offering a universal way of knowing ourselves.
