The Walk for Peace: A Journey of Calm
March 28th | 250-Acre Forest Sanctuary | Louisa, VA
The Experience
On March 28th, we invite you to leave the noise behind and step into the quiet. The Walk for Peace is a self-guided, contemplative journey through the heart of our timber. This is not a race; it is a return to the land and a shared prayer for our community.
What to Expect:
The Path: A sturdy, wheelchair-accessible trail designed for radical welcome, ensuring every neighbor can navigate the woods with ease and dignity.
Peace Stations: Along the trail, discover stations featuring reflections from global peacemakers—moments to pause, breathe, and listen to the wind in the trees.
The Community Cairn: Bring a small stone or find one on the path to add to our prayer cairn, a collective symbol of our shared hope.
The Donkeys: Walk alongside our gentle guest donkeys, whose slow, rhythmic pace invites us into a deeper sense of presence.
The Gathering: Beginning at 12 PM, join us at Sophia House for ceremonial cacao and hors d'oeuvres—a time to share the silence and the stories of the day.
The Purpose
Every step taken on March 28th supports the creation of Louisa’s First Children’s Family Musical Park. We are raising funds to install weather-proof, professional-grade outdoor instruments and healing meditation hubs throughout these 250 acres. Your presence and your generosity help us "sing over the seeds" of a more peaceful future.
